William Burnett, Board Member and Fellow
Bill has a diverse and creative product background that spans from Apple laptops to Hasbro toys. Prior to D2M, Bill was at Apple Computer for seven years where he led the development of six award winning PowerBook laptop computers. Bill served on the Board of Directors at Advanced Digital Optics, recently acquired by JDS Uniphase and on the Board of ITG, an Information Technology outsourcing company headquartered in Prague. He is a Consulting Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering School at Stanford University where he has taught industrial design, innovation, and product development for over 20 years.

Bill is the Executive Director of the Stanford University Product Design Program, focusing on the integration of technical, human, aesthetic, and business concerns for design innovation. He holds BS and MS degrees in Product Design from Stanford and has studied Industrial Design at the University of Cincinnati.

Bill is named on six utility patents, several design patents and one ID Magazine award for the first true "slate" computer, the Convergent Technologies WorkSlate.
